What's Inside The Box?

Wargames Atlantic really seem to be hitting it out of the park.

Their figure choices seem to be homing in on gaps in the market for the historicals, the Death Fields range are picking up 40K Imperial Guard players and the fantasy creatures with sci fi upgrades are pure craziness.

First up are the multipart plastic 95th Rifles troops.

AS usual, the sprues are small with everything you need on one.

In this case, four Riflemen per sprue with the options for one of them to be built as an officer.

But wait.  What's this?

If you're a fan of the TV exploits of a certain fictional Rifleman, the sprue contains some familiar heads AND a very non-standard weapon for the Rifles.

It appears the two heads on the left below are Harper and Sharpe respectively along with a Tongue/ Hagman head and some forage caps.

There's even a Nock gun (Sharpe's present to Harper for helping capture an Eagle) on the sprue.

As a purist, I object to a version of Sharpe's non-standard straight heavy cavalry sword not being present but you can't have everything.

Next up are the Lizardmen with three figures per sprue.

Weapons this time include an autogun proxy as well as a rifle to represent the Lizardmen's own tech.

A British style musket. There are also spear options.

Many different types of heads including a gas mask variant.

All in all, another nifty kit suitable for Fantasy, Victorian sci-fi and, or as combatants in a Grimdark future.

What's Newly Arrived?

Continuing the love from Wargames Atlantic, the latest models waiting for me when I arrived home are the Napoleonic era Riflemen and the Fantasy/ Sci Fi Lizardmen.

Time Ran Out For The Death Korps

One of the unfortunate issues with working away from home is the first world problem of enforced pauses in hobby fun.

I ran out of time on the kitbashed Death Korps so I wasn't able to complete the heavy weapons and standard..

Apart from two weeks in April, I'm largely out of the game until December.

With the Warhammer Conquest follow up, Imperium, likely starting soon, I'm going to be looking at quite the backlog.

The End Of Les Grognards Work...For Now

The time has come to work away from home again so the last weekend saw a push to complete some projects.

My Les Grognards contingent now has a Senior Command along with a full Platoon backed up by two Heavy Weapon Squads and a Special Waepons team with sniper rifles.

Kitbashing Death Korps Of Krieg

I had already played around with a Krieg squad but after receiving the latest delivery from Wargames Atlantic, it was back to modelling stations.

There is now a full Command Squad and two Infantry Squads to paint.

I've gone for a mixture of WA and GW parts with the figures manning GW heavy weapons.  There is even a Horus Heresy plasma gun in there.
