The Ventrillians Get A Super Heavy

Although GW have OOP'd the Empire Pistoliers, I have managed to find a decent haul of Pistolier heads from bits sites and auctions.

So much so that I have decided the 3d printed not-Gorgon I purchased will belong to the Nobles.

There is some tidying up to do plus I'm deciding which other parts will be blinged with gold paint but, by and large, the model is there.

I have decided that any future Ventrillian vehicle crews will use non-feathered heads.

Rough Rider Trial Paint Scheme

I'm staying away from Redcoats for the Rough Riders.

Instead I've gone for the Contrast Leviadon Blue for trousers and tunics.

I haven't decided what colour horses to go for.  I must do some research but the Contrast Space Wolves paint may look OK.

New Rough Riders: First Squadron

As well as being nicely printed, the parts fit together really well with socket arrangements to aid the aligning and fitting.

That's the first squadron built.  The rest will have to wait for a second order to go into Kirton Games for some more left arms.

Victoria Miniatures Rough Rider Kickstarter

I've been on tenterhooks for these.

Courtesy of Kirton Games and their 3d printing service ( https://kirtongames.co.uk/pages/3d-printing-services ), I now have two squads of Rough Riders...almost.   I didn't order two sets of left arms so, at present, the second squad won't have rein holding arms.  That's the beauty of stls though.  I'll add them to the next order.

Excuse the sideways photos but these prints, to my eye, have turned out really well.  I will be able to compare them with the siocast squad that should turn up later.

Price?  Cheaper than two squads of Atillans.  As Kirton Games are busy, delivery was close to two weeks but that did cover two weekends with the goods arriving on a Monday.

Now, where are those Death Fields stls?
