Who Has Never Wanted A 28mm Wargaming Rik Mayall?

Crooked Dice Miniatures continue their mining of 70s/ 80s and even 90s Fantasy/ Sci Fi and TV  pop culture.

Labelled as the Horrid Housemates, these are some of their newest beauties and will look nice lined up against the Father Ted inspired Island Priests set.

New Primaris

I have acquired a few of the limited Primarus models to wit Sergeant Castus, a Lieutenant and Uruel Ventriss.

I'm looking at Castus being a Silver Templar, the Lieutenant as a Howling Griffon and, of course,  Ultramarine for Ventris.  4th Company as a new project?

Giants In Miniature (With Praetorian Potential?)

Wargames Illustrated magazine has a range of miniatures known as Giants In Miniature offered tied into the contents of the latest magazine.  These can be historical, from pulp fiction or movies.

A small selection is shown below.

In particular we have Sir Sidney Ruff-Diamond ( Sid James from Carry On Up The Kybher).

Sir Garnet Wolsley.

Havildar Ishar Singh. He may become the Sergeant with some Wargames Atlantic Bulldogs.   I have spare turbanned heads left over from some Warlord Eighth Army figures that have been waiting for a purpose.

New Projects

Like most of us  (I assume),  there are always new things to do.

With Krieg turning into the new plastic Imperial Guard goodness, I'm laying the groundwork for a small force.  This will consist of three of the new squads linked up with the recently acquired resin squad shown below.

I'm trialling some of the plastic parts with the resin models.

Plus, the Palatine from Piety and Pain along with all the other Sisters are being lined up. More on those later.

The Dirty Dozen...er ..The Terrible Ten

I've not really been a fan of orange miniatures but, once again, Contrast has rode to the rescue.

It also shows how much fun the Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder kits can be.

Space Dwarves

Another side project draws to a close with the latest Macrocosm delivery painted up.

I'm looking forward to more in the future especially if the range of language troopers can be expanded.
